About

Islamic Support Aid and Relief Organization (ISAR) is an Afghan NGO based in Afghanistan with its HQ in Kabul. Islamic Support Aid and Relief Organization (ISAR) is a purely humanitarian organization with no political affiliations.
ISAR Organization is a non-governmental and not-for-profit organization founded in Kabul in 2015 with a mission to provide people affected by human and natural crises in the Afghanistan with emergency relief, educational programs, clean water and food security, health care, protection for children and orphans, sustainable socio-economic programs, and to promote peace-building and effective governance, while integrating our values of respect, impartiality, quality, accountability, advocacy and innovation in all our work. We work to uphold the strictest humanitarian standards of neutrality, impartiality and independence, assisting people of all faiths and none, without discrimination by race, religion or gender. We work on peace, relief activities, Aid Supports, conflict and justice issues, and provide training in peace building and good governance. ISAR oversees global standards, coordinates and monitors project implementation, identifies new areas for fund development, oversees the response to emergencies and disasters by members of the ISAR and supports them as needed with marketing and media materials. ISAR is also responsible for coordinating engagement relations with multi-lateral institutions, representing the federation in international forums and developing and coordinating the global strategy. We have tried grown to become the largest national humanitarian and development organization in Afghanistan with almost five years of experience providing relief and socio-economic support services to those most affected by the joint forces of conflict, war and recurrent climatic shocks. Our organization’s headquarter is in Kabul, with field operation offices across the country. Even as Afghanistan is witnessing a rebirth in development, reconstruction and peace-building, recent climatic shocks (droughts, flooding and earthquakes) and protracted war have left the Afghan people and society in critical need of assistance at all levels. Decades of political instability and erratic climate changes have left vast populations, especially in rural areas, living in extreme poverty with high morbidity and mortality rates. The demand for basic necessities for survival are very high.
The need for emergency survival support and sustainable social and infrastructure development has never been greater and is crucial to ensure the survival of Afghanistan and prevention of future conflict. Our programs are focused on serving the most vulnerable and marginalized people in Afghanistan, namely children, adolescent boys and girls, women, persons with disabilities, people from minority clans and other marginalized groups, returnees and internally displaced persons. We conduct research for national and international governmental organizations, NGOs and national bodies, to inform policy and provide a deeper understanding of the relevant issues.
